Free health checks enabling self-empowered health in the community

SiSU Health UK have been working with local authority organisations such as Southwark Council to engage and empower local communities with their health.

By placing SiSU health stations in places where people live their lives, such as libraries, leisure centres and supermarkets, we see increases in engagement, health literacy and empowered self-improvement.

People can complete a highly accurate, 4 minute, self-service health check for free to understand their health risks and track any change over time via the SiSU app.

In a recent survey of Users of the SiSU health station, over 70% completed a health check because the kiosk was in a visible, accessible location, needing no appointment and no supervision.

Southwark has health inequalities across the borough and is encouraging people to complete a health check so they are aware of key health indicators such as BMI, blood pressure, stress, alcohol and smoking.
