SiSU Health is working with leading Swinburne University of Technology to develop a new digital mental health assessment tool as part of the SiSU Health solution.
This project sees SiSU Health teaming up with Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, to enhance and improve our existing health assessment portals, with a particular focus on mental health.
SiSU health check stations reach people who may not tend to engage as much with their health or with healthcare services. Our internet-enabled medical devices allow individuals to undertake a free, self-service health assessment without the need for an appointment or for interaction wit a healthcare professional.
The current health check includes a range of physical measurements such as blood pressure, BMI, body composition, plus a range of health risk measurement tools such as QRisk3 and the PSS4 for measurement perceived stress.
Researchers working on this project will aim to develop an evidence-based, empowerment-oriented mental health assessment tool, ready to be embedded into SiSU’s existing health check, web portal and app.
Guided by the question: What is the optimal operationalisation of mental health in the context of digital delivery of assessment and repeated measurement in the general population? The PhD sponsored by SiSU Health and the Digital Health CRC seeks to develop a new, market leading mental health digital instrument to be integrated into our health stations and online portal.

As part of the PHD work, the paper, "Digital self-report instruments for repeated measurement of mental health in the general adult population: a protocol for a systematic review", has been published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ Open) by Zhao Hui Koh, Jason Skies and Greg Murray.
