Sleep has a major impact on how well our bodies and minds function on a day-to-day basis. With long term poor sleep you are more vulnerable to illness due to a lowered immune system and more likely to develop heart disease. Although everyone, is different, adults require between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night.

Signs of sleep deprivation include:-

  • Regularly need an alarm clock to wake up on time
  • Find it difficult to get out of bed and get started in the morning
  • Find it difficult to concentrate during the day.
  • Feel the urge to nap during the day.
  • Feel sluggish in the afternoon.
  • Feel drowsy after heavy meals
  • Fall asleep infront of the television most evenings

SiSU Health data shows that over 30% of people struggle with sleep.
